In Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness, the three legendary birds appear as Shadow Pokémon and are originally used by Grand Master Greevil. Pokémon Platinum featured the Legendary Birds as roaming Sinnoh after the player character defeats the Pokémon League. Pokémon Yellow featured the trio in their previous locations, while later games featuring Kanto moved Moltres to different areas: in FireRed and LeafGreen, the Flame Pokémon was at Mt. Zapdos can be found at the Kanto Power Plant, while Moltres can be captured in Victory Road. Articuno is hidden within the Seafoam Islands. The Kantonian Legendary Birds first appeared in the games Pokémon Red, Green, and, outside of Japan, Blue Versions. The Legendary Birds ( 伝説 ( でんせつ )の 鳥 ( とり ) Densetsu no Tori) are a trio of Legendary Pokémon that resemble birds, consisting of the Ice/ Flying-type Articuno (フリーザー Furiizaa), the Electric/ Flying-type Zapdos (サンダー Sandaa), and the Fire/ Flying-type Moltres (ファイヤー Faiyaa).
